چکیده
SUMMARY Skin cancer formation is on the rise. Only a few case reports, which focus on skin cancer being caused by tattoos, have been published so far. Our aim is to determine whether skin cancer occurrence can be triggered by tattoos. In our presented case, a squamous-cell carcinoma developed inside of the red areas of a multicolored tattoo within months. Furthermore, surgical removal of the cancerously mutated skin area without mutilating the design of the tattoo was challenging. Due to widespread skin alterations in other red areas of the tattoo, those affected skin regions were surgically removed and split-skin grafting was performed. After 1-year follow-up period, the patient has been tumor free. Squamous-cell carcinoma is an unusual reaction that can occur in tattoos. Nevertheless, this skin cancer should be included in the list of cutaneous complications related to tattooing.

Background: Lung cancer ranks among the most common and most lethal malignancies worldwide. Once vascular or lymphatic invasions occur, metastatic dissemination to distant sites is common. Bone, liver, adrenals, and brain are the most frequent sites of the distant disease. In this study we present a case of squamous cell carcinoma of lung with metastasis of the left knee bursa.Case presentation...
متن کاملCytotoxic effect of methanolic extracts of vegetative and reproductive parts of Vinca rosea on A431, a human skin squamous carcinoma cell line
Introduction: Vinca rosea, an important medicinal plant, is well-known for its anticancer properties especially against breast cancer. In this study, we compared the cytotoxic effects of methanolic extracts of the vegetative (young and old leaves) and reproductive (flowers) organs of this plant on a human squamous cell carcinoma using MTT assay. Methods: The cytotoxic effects of Vinca rosea'...

Pseudoepitheliomatous hyperplasia is a benign condition defined by an exuberant proliferation of the epithelium with downward progression into the dermis. It may occur in reaction to several conditions including chronic cutaneous wound.
